It is constructed with a steel ratchet handle and flat hooks. To engage attach the hook to an anchor point. Release the trigger to open the ratchet handle side gate then insert strap sideways onto the spool. Close the gate and pull release trigger towards handle then ratchet to lock cargo into place.
